Le Machin is a project by Mike Roth of Lo-Fi wines. The nose shows a bit of forward dark cherry with some spice and a bit of black tea. The palate is present for a Pinot with a brandied cherry flavor with loam, savory herbs and black tea.Roth continues to stay true to his roots with minimal intervention and a gentle approach to fruit and extraction. He had a chance to work with CCOF organic Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Chardonnay from the Santa Rita Hills and he scooped up the fruit and Le Machin was born.
